Have admittedly been being a voyeur on your site at the suggestion of my sister Sally as she has had noticably
more progressive thought since visiting here!I really know little or nothing about the mindfullness technique on a
whole but am intrigued by what I have read and the way people are able to share their thoughts, feelings, and
emotions through this vehicle.I myself live a very different life as I "escaped" the reality of a more mainstream
society many years ago and retreated into the wilderness of the forest to find a better way of trying to understand
things better myself.I follow no religion and since opening myself up to the cyber-world recently find it
fascinating how many people in the world are seeking enlightenment and understanding .My particular views on
every little thing are unimportant at this point but will let you know I was driven to near madness by the ego and
cruelty of the majority.I,as many others feel we cant make a dent in the "change the world" effort but I did what I
had to do to try and save myself from the mental destruction the harsh reality the world can inflict.Dont sweat the
small stuff and everything is small stuff is a great way of minimalizing all the things in everyday life that can drive
you to the brink of madness.I have to say the salvation for me was the peace and tranquility that getting closer to
the Earth and Universe itself was my only salvation and the grandeur and Majesty of the mountains and nature is
the best calmer i know of.In general I think people THINK too much, especially about the negative aspects of
cicumstance and i have found the less i dwell on thought,or over thought the more control I have over myself and
my emotions.I try to instill this to my sister as she is the closest love i have besides my husband and daughter
and would like to see her enjoy some peace in her life.I think your input helps her a lot John and have to thank you
for that.If you will allow me to I would like to continue to drop in and read all your wonderful students
commentaries.I am no big literary scholar and have to admit I needed to get out my dictionary for a few of the
messages i read but have to admit tending animals and gardening and listening to the rain and hail rush through
the trees have been my companions and drawn my thoughts more inward in the past years.Mind
boggling,"intelligent"conversations have been few and far between as ,like i said ,i tend to have simpler happy
thoughts more often in the many hours of quiet solitude I enjoy.....
Hope you wont mind me being "AROUND"
