Hello SuzoftheNorthwoods & all:
Welcome to the group. I used to think of moving further away from the
problems of society
My problem was never running away from society, I have moved to various
parts of the country(US), but the problem was I always took me along.

This may be a debate over defintions. What is small stuff? If
everything is small then nothing is small. I try not to minimalize, nor
enlarge. Both of which I am very good at. For me, mindfulness is about
seeing things for what they are.

world" effort but I did what I had to do to try and save myself from
the mental destruction the harsh reality the world can inflict.
Reality is harsh at times, it is majestic, its ugly, its beautiful, if
that is my perception. The beautiful sunny weather boosting the economy
at the little beach community, may be a drought for the farmer in the
next county. By removing the filters and masks "instilled" in me I
begin "saving" myself, to let out that which is inside. I can see that
I am connected to that "harsh reality". I can also open the door to
being able to help my wife, my children, my community, to making a dent
in the infinite possibility.
take care, jeff
