Hello Bruce and All:

Bruce wrote>I never take it slow. I never like what comes up. I rarely
merely take things as they come...and Fun---what's that!

I have found doing simple things while trying to be mindful really
helpful with this. Stuff from the beginning Kindergarten exercises
followed up with things like washing dishes, taking a shower, or
brushing my teeth. When I'm at work, sometimes I try to wake up when
I'm simply walking down the hallway. Changing my focus to the patterns
of light on the walls, the patterns of the carpet, or the feel of my
feet hitting the floor.

It may not be "fun" in the carnival ride sense of the word, but I find
it interesting. The "sensory" exercises are generally easier for me to
use some intent on as I generally know they are coming. For me, trying
to wake on these simple things carrys over into waking up in more
complicated areas like dealing with myself or other people.
Anticipating thought is still beyond me.

"Fun" is where you find it, Jeff
