I'm still here?

Well, hello, Eon! Welcome back! I've been aware that dangerous political matters have gone on troubling the lives of Macedonians. And I'm sorry for
that. I hope things are looking better to you there by now.

I was always so amazed to have one of our class-members living in conditions of war there in Skopje. But now, my own country has come under
attack from similar political factions, and the fears of further catastrophic reprisals here seem to go on, as we bite back. And our recent class-member,
Rakesh, is right in the middle of similar dangers in New Delhi, where the Parliament was just attacked by murderous suicide gunmen. In these
moments, the whole world waits to see India's response to this provocation. I *don't know* what the right move would be!!! But it seems that only
the terrorists can gain if they succeed in stirring up hostilities between India and Pakistan. I'm so sorry to see this chain of developments in the world.
It doesn't bode well for the coming New Year. It's a dangerous planet to live on—unhappy for those who are attacked, and for those who are
attacking—these exchanges bringing suffering back upon *all* of us!

It's always neat to hear from you, Eon . . . yet—as you know—I have no requirements for class attendance, or even for practicing mindfulness. I leave
those decisions up to you students. I will say, however, that I've been thinking the classes here since mid-October may have had some special
relevance to you personally (as well as a few others). So it might be worth your while to go back and "catch up" with them. You'll notice I've
mentioned you here and there when Believer-stuff was being highlighted.

When I hear you say, ". . . only I want it fast, now, imediately (Believer, Believer....hmmmm)-and this makes me slip from it every time . . ."—when I
hear you say that it makes me think you are catching on to how those impatient Believer characteristics are "getting in your way."

I say "I'm still here?" with a question mark because there are only a few days left until Holiday Vacation, so . . . I'm here, but I'm not here, so to speak.
I have two more classes in the series I've been working on to finish up this week by Friday before I take off, and the next subjects I'll be able to get
into in Classroom Talk will be after the break, in the next semester, starting Friday January 4th. However, as customary, student conversations in
Classroom Talk can go on while I'm away, for any who care to do so.

You're "a mess," you say? If you'd care to send me an e-mail over the holidays, filling me in with more details on your news, I may not be able to
respond until later, but at least it might give me a briefing on how I might work you in more to the themes of our new classes at that point. How did
your job search go, after leaving the army? Or, how is it going at this point? How are things between you and your Father these days? (There may
be similarities there to things I'm about to take up with Bruce.) How goes it with your girlfriend?

Wishing you well from the bottom of my heart,

Love, Coach
