Hi Douglas,
Considering the "many selves" theory is it possible for you to make
room for the potential of John's interpersonal approach.. it might
actually mesh with the intrapersonal.. IMO they are both enhancements
to our lives. There is ROOM for every teaching IMO.. sometimes one
teaching "enlightens" one individual and sometimes another might do the
trick.. but it is a rare individual who can "see" the parallels in many
teachings and accept that they are ALL of value..
Could we see a short poem, if a poem is necessary.. many of your
referenced poems are so complex that it is difficult to hold all the
meanings at one reading... perhaps you have written one yourself
instead of referencing another poet.. at least then it might reference
your own soul...
Poems are a beautiful reflection of the soul.. but they tend to reflect
the soul of the poet who wrote them with a reading public only "seeing"
a potential recognition.. The recognition is incredibly important but
the passion is left to the poet himself (or herself). If I read a poem
here I would like to see your soul rather than the soul of another more
illusive poet..
Just a thought
