Hi Annette:

Serendipity is never to be discounted for you may have stumbled on a resource or two for there is a hell of a lot of talent and
experience in this Classroom. Usually it is hidden due to modesty, but being rather shameless, I advocate that any number of us
could teach “Zen and the Art of Seeing”.

As to my own qualifications, I have been a University professor in Technical Theatre, Production, and Design and I have to admit
that the design aspect seduced me. Abandoning academia due to the politics, I started my own design business specializing in the
unique. Lately I have been playing with Sumi-e — for a critique ask Sally since she has been the victim of my art as of late.

I also have a background in the psychoanalytical but I more than suspect it would not apply here.

My personal philosophy — oft stated here — is that: “It is creative apperception more than anything else that makes the individual
feel that life is worth living.” It is a quote from my mentor D. W. Winnicott. And should that sentence strike a chord in you, you
may contact me at Upsand1@Sympatico.ca.

The description “emotional support students” though baffles me; perhaps you could amplify the phrase. And you should be warned
that “Emotional Intelligence” is not my strong suit.

As an after note, why don’t you join us? The very fact that you found this site speaks volumes, as the phrase goes. Your own
present centred awareness would be both a gift to yourself and your students.

with compassion

Douglas
