Hi John:

Personally, I own a Macintosh PPC 9600 and in this Win/Tel dominated world my advice is usually only pertinent to a distinct
minority.

The process that Jeff has suggested is exactly the one that I use although the vocabulary on the Mac is slightly different. I
compose my responses on “Apple Works”; spell check them using the software included in the package (in U.K. English by the by);
copy the text; then paste it on the Blackboard.

Next to a Personal Secretary the Spell Checker is a Godsend, for despite a background in English, I can’t spell worth a damn — ask
Sally or Suz who have seen me spontaneously do grievous harm to the language.

As a second thought, check out the following URL, for Spell Catcher will edit your text if you care to compose online such as on the
Blackboard or on an Instant Messaging Service.

http://www.spellcatcher.com/

Eventually, they will want your money though.

Sorry to be of so little help.

Douglas
