Hi, Sally. The piece you posted certainly seems right on point to
what we’ve been talking about and looking at the Robson site there’s a
lot to digest there in addition. It seems you’ve been actively
pursuing mindfulness for quite some time. I would welcome any
comments you might have on what you sense about *where I am*.
I’m wanting to practice mindfulness as continually as I can but
without someone close to me who is also interested in that, I find it
very difficult to assess, *where am I? *
Like a mariner, I seem to need more than one point of reference to
find my location. Certainly the coach’s point of reference is helpful
but he’s on break and I’d like to keep working.
In the spirit of exploration, I have some kindred feeling with you
about some of Douglas’s postings. We seem to react differently. You
seem kinder. I’m attacking. You seem to want to explain him, at
least that’s the sense I had about your response to his posting to
Annette. Maybe even apologize for him. I wanted to stop him from
being pedantic!
Hi, Douglas. In your last posting to me you shared your computer
experience in a forthright and warm manner. I got it and appreciated
you for it. Like our “contrition” exchange it was so vastly different
from your posting to Annette. What’s the difference in feeling for
you in composing those two postings and perhaps the riposte that this
communiqué will receive? (Grin) I feel trepidation in approaching you
this way.
Anyway, I really appreciate this class and the opportunity to learn
with others who put mindfulness and it’s pursuit near the top of their
list. Student John
