Hi John:

It is a little late at night here in the G.T.A.. of Ontario and starting to smell and look like Spring — and just perhaps, I am
starting to wake up.

Once upon a time, I was a second rate University Professor and at the same time a much more insane but much more accomplished
Technical Director and Designer in Theatre in this small country. This is not to sing my accolades but just to set the stage so to
speak.

I used to say to myself, by way of a prayer, to the effect:

“Lord, Grace and Thank my students who have paid to teach me.”

That is more than elliptical; nevertheless to my own mind there are only teachers and no students of experience; consequently I
have a problem with “Student John” as in my frame of reference, you are no student.

Sincerely Douglas
