A Fresh Cool Breeze just passed by this “Wise Old Oak”

Coach & Class:

Please pardon my little “Believers Mind”, but… How easy I can “imagine”
ah-ha, the dear o`l Coach has taken off all week-end ‘just so’ he can
work here in class with, ‘us’ heh heh. Ah yes like a full “Week-end
Retreat”. Yeah! Well when I started writing this sentence I was really
only kidding –though “A Mindfulness Week-end Work Shop” does seem to
have a nice ring to it for me. Now of course not this weekend just out
of the blue without getting proper notice out. Even though this weekend
is having a great “open” opportunity for me in more ways than one.
{Smiles}

Our meeting in real time a while back, that I was unable to attend,
seemed (from what was said back then) to have some serious draw backs.
The fact that we have not had another one speaks for it self to me. I
know it would have been a tremendous challenge for me with my spelling,
slow typing, not to mention my slooooo –w thinking. And I’m not sure if
anyone else has noticed, (and I realize it is most likely completely
coincidental I’m certain) that classroom participation at least with
those that had attended that meeting has dwindled to almost not-ta. So
not only did I miss that experiment there back then, so have I missed
you all almost since then as well.

Anyway back to my “Day Dream”. We could start very early Saturday
morning on Tucson time, and run in to the night. Say from 7am to 10pm,
then rising early on Sunday morning again till late after noon or even
evening, posting-reading-posting-reading, (talking-listening-talking-
listening) etc. Oh there would need to be a facilitator of sorts –and
please forgive me here Coach for playing the “Dictator” here, but in my
mind there could be no other option than you for this job. Oh you could
recruit Brent for technical support of course and maybe Rob as a type
of monitor of some sort, (loosely speaking of course). Maybe we could
even get Perk to be our guest speaker to kick it all off. And have a
question and answer session afterwards. He could even post his talk a
day or so prier to the weekend. Then through the rest of the weekend we
could have sessions of experiential exercises we are doing out here in
the real world. Actually you could post a list of experiential
exercises weeks before, and we could bring our living experiences with
those we had chosen to do through those few weeks into these sharing
sessions. What does “Everyone” think? Could we pull it off? I know the
time discrepancy would play a strong part in this idea –yet I “believe”
we could even have an enjoyable and creative time working with this as
well. I think that the two full day idea could accommodate all.
Actually our friends the furthest from Tucson geographically could be
the ones to “Kick-It-All-Off” after our Guest Speaker posted his talk a
day or so prior to that weekend. One of the most important aspects “in
my opinion” would be the willingness for each participant to actually
set the “ENTIRE” weekend aside for this experiment. Now I don’t mean
setting at the computer every minute of the time, but that this whole
weekend time be centered on this class. When you go out and get the
newspaper, talk to your mate or other friends, go to the store, or a
movie, or out to dinner, or what ever. That this whole time you are
where ever you are you are in this classroom with us all at the same
time. Then at various times of the weekend you’re dropping in on the
activity going on in classroom talk.

I’m sure you will all have some better ideas than me on this but what
do you “ALL” think could we pull it off, would we even like to be
pulling this sort of thing off? Well I sure would!

At any rate Coach (and anyone else that may happen by this “Old Oak
Tree” here today, were Coach and I have informally “kind-a” agreed to
meet) I started my day at 6:30am this morning with Love, Communication,
Understanding, and Mindfulness on my heart and mind to share with all
who might venture by. I rolled out of bed in my normal manner giving
thanks for being alive and somewhat in my right mind. Spending my
normal rising morning time I won’t go into here now. Then about 7:30 or
so I came in here and set down under this "Wise Old Oak Tree" and began
to talk with 'It' in its own unique and mindful language. And the above
is what came to my mind.

Now I’ll attempt to address your post to “Class” yesterday –or later
last night for me anyway, when I returned home around 10pm. But before
I do this (And just for the pure fun of it) I think I’ll just go on
ahead and post this part I’ve written first and see if anything comes
from it. Because this has taken me over two hours to write and this was
very quick for me. There is no telling how long it will be before I get
my reply to Coach done today. So what the heck lets just have some fun
today. My heart and mind is flying all the way around the world at this
very instant, for there are no (or at least very little) time
constraints in this aspect of my being. I’ve flown by Pauline, Eon,
Rakesh, Sally and Suz and Bruce, Student John, Douglas, Deirdre, Jeff,
Tim, Rob, Perk, Anoop, Jim, Hal, Michael, Jana, Catherine, Ismahal, A
Real Alcoholic and Ben. And those I have never met such as Lydia,
Ninad, Sufi Musfaad Wali, Anne, Scott, the Wanderling, Padraig, Don,
Kenyon, Mickey, Betsy, Louise, Bishop, Jabr, Monk, Web’ster and Lee.
And let us not forget the four little cuties from Germany Kristin,
Janina, Yvonne and Steffi, and of course the understanding person(s)
from the bleachers, and last but in no way least all the Anonymous’s.
If I have missed anyone, which I am sure I probably did, please forgive
me and post immediately to let us know you are here, if you would like.

Be back in a little while.

Eddie
