John, Dennis is a very good friend of mine. I have known him about five
years now, and I had mentioned this work to him some time ago. I
had ‘thought’ I had mentioned it to you as well a while back that a
friend of mine had expressed interest in joining us here? Well if
you’ll remember, as well, I have a large portion of your site here made
up into two thick binder books. The introduction parts and Kindergarten
Training in one book and the Playground and Wheel Book in the other.
And I had shared with him out of these on a couple of different
occasions. When he read the Doormat description he was… well his words
he posted, (using my computer, because he doesn’t have one) I even
typed while he dictated to me without my coaching or coaxing. He is
even less clerical than I am if that’s possible, heh, heh. I even told
him you might make this inference if my email showed up on that end.
But I assure you his post was genuine and sincere, and most assuredly
Dennis one hundred per cent. And in my opinion, and that and a couple
of bucks will get you a cup of coffee a lot of places, you two have a
lot in common. Which I believe you sensed by your fist quick response
to him. But then latter through your own “Doormat” rationalization and
suspicion I suspect you missed it. Now on the other hand I do feel your
warmth in the idea that I might have been trying to lift your spirits
with this type of maneuver, which is not beyond me by any stretch of
the imagination. But all’s well that ends well, I suppose and I still
believe you and Dennis have a lot to gain by knowing each other.
My phone lines have been down since Tuesday, so I only got back to
class today. They were back on when I got home today unexpectedly,
where they were not planning to have them back up till latter tonight.
Dennis had just dropped by to pick up a paper I had for him, when I had
just realized my phones were on. So I said, “hey, if you have time, we
could check and see if Coach has responded to your post yet”, where he
had been asking for days if you had. We read Barbara’s and Sally’s post
and then yours. I laughed when I saw the mix up. I ask him if he wanted
to comment. He seemed a bit baffled and said he would wait tell later,
and left.
I was excited that Dennis had expressed interest in Mindfulness, and at
the same time I was trying to stay out of it on my end and let him have
his own “new” experience. Anyway sorry about the mix up, I had wondered
if I should have mentioned it the other day. But I had thought the
words “he” had chosen would be confirmation it was not me.
Sally it is Sooooo-good to see you back.
And oh well, what the hell make it a personality type what can I say at
this point?
