Hi Class,
No technical teaching this!! Own where you are consciously (a twisted
sore seething self-pitying pretzel in a heap at the bottom of a stair
case) and move on. When I find my Self (personality) in a “state,” I
try consciously to go deeper into it, to take charge of it. And then
in time I can set it aside. For me this has worked best when I’m
anxious about my performance. I intentionally move my thoughts and
images to “failure” and my anxiety seems to lift. Hey, they’re just
thoughts. Nothing is THAT important… Love this life. I had a kidney
stone a couple of months ago which was excruciatingly painful. I
couldn’t increase the pain but I did try to enter it, to watch it, to
own it. I tried throwing the pain away but that just increased my
anxiety. I was in pain for a reason so I like Coach laid down to
experience as much of the pain as I could. It was quite an experience.
Could stubborn be a self-effacing way to describe faith? We know a
body without Life doesn’t heal. A corpse tossed down a stairs doesn’t
ache, swell or rush healing blood to the damaged areas. The life force
works in and through the physical body to protect and heal. Ain’t Life
grand!!
Coach, good luck on your work to become unattached to this site.
About six months ago, I toyed with leaving class. I love this place
and the opportunity to learn and share. Look forward to your weekly
postings.
Cheerfully, Student John
