Hi Student John,

I have to admit that my words were slightly tainted by my mood of the
moment. I felt my 'righteousness' after relating to a cartoon, where
the figure was heaving a very weighty knapsack up a steep mountain
path, and all that loomed before him/her were equally mountainous
paths. Written on the knapsack were the words "Things which cannot be
mentioned". This reflected my journey (through marriage) so much
that I felt defensive.

Who filled the knapsack? Only one person..... ME. And they were very
very heavy, these 'cherished beliefs' of mine.

A widely proclaimed phrase these days is "If I had known better, I
would have done better." It took me a while to process and work
through especially as I was doing it on my own. I hadn't know that I
could treat myself well and deserved better.

I would rather hear someone yell at me "I hate you ..............." as
this has some energy I can work with (hopefully mindfully !!!) To
live in silence and indifference is 'suffering'and is extremely,
intolerably B O R I N G !!!!!

Take Care,
love
Pauline.
